Protein Reconstitution

Our client wanted to recover out of specification product to maximise production of a high quality product.

A new process design was proposed to deal with a highly hygroscopic protein powder. The design involved reconfiguring existing equipment with new equipment in a confined space within an operational plant. The system had to utilise a loss in weight feeder with a ‘sticky’ powder to try maintain a continuous, consistent process.

The project was completed in a timely manner and resulted in significant financial benefits for the client
